Birte WASSENBERG

Birte Wassenberg is Professor of Modern History at the IEP in Strasbourg, a member of the centre Raymond-Poidevin, UMR “Dynamiques européennes,” and head of the master 2 “Relations internationales.” From 1993 to 2006, she was attachée territoriale in the Alsace region. Since 2013, she has held a Jean Monnet chair on the contribution of crossborder cooperation to the European Neighbourhood Policy. Her recent publications include: Histoire du Conseil de l’Europe (1949-2009) (Brussels: Peter Lang, 2012); L’approche pluridisciplinaire de la coopération transfrontalière.
